Hanging isn't for everyone. I tried it once and it went about as terribly as you'd expect. Technically I was quite young so it was more of a desperate measure than an actual suicide attempt. Hope you find peace.

I hate to say it because it isn't guaranteed but it is all about finding that spot in your neck. If you constrict it correctly you should pass out relatively fast.

Pro lifers are forcing people like us to use brutal methods because they oppress the peaceful and painless ones. It sucks.

In my opinion it's the survival instinct that is preventing us from doing brutal methods. I wish a lot more stuff was guaranteed but sadly its not.

Full suspension has a 100% success rate if the rope is tied well to the anchor point (ceiling) and one is hanging freely after kicking the chair/ladder. It's only about how quick to pass out and this could certainly be painful when one does not pass out quickly. But the success rate is 100% or has anyone ever seen a condemned to death by hanging that they survived?

Certainly hanging isn't an easy method and a lot of SI to be defeated but this anti-suicide society we have to live in forces people into cruel and difficult methods. I hate it.

Suicide really should be easier, I see it as being inhumane how we are denied the option of a peaceful and reliable suicide method. The thought of the hanging method going wrong is just terrifying to me.

it seems that our options for peaceful CTB are getting more and more scarce.

can i ask - which is more preferable to you: partial or full suspension hanging?

I also want to hang myself. I want to do it at home and I still haven't found out where people tie the rope to.
In my country, the majority of people who ctb do it this way. My cousin did it 1,5 years ago.
I just like to know where people put the rope.
I plan to take benzodiazepines against the fear and pain.

I keep coming back to hanging. I run through all the different scenarios & hanging seems to be the best way. But I'm scared of getting it wrong (and I'm scared of suffering). Anyone who says suicide is cowardly doesn't know what they're talking about. If I could get some fentanyl & Nembutal things would be so easy

Please be careful. I'd do partial hanging as it isn't as painful as full suspension hanging. I wish you the best and I hope you succeed.

Can you explain which spot it is and how to place the rope properly, please? That would be very helpful 🙏.

The best thing to do is look at the megathread compilations. But it's always about position ing the rope to cut blood to a from the brain

What I do like most about it, is that once you step off you have no way of backing out.

Happened locally where i live a woman tied a rope to a tree then around her neck got in her golf cart had lots of slack. She took as fast as it would go. When the rope reached its end she was yanked out of the cart. Still alive broke several vertebrates in her neck. Not sure but i bet she is paralyzed

It's my method as well. I am choosing it because of the certainty of it. Once you step off there is no turning back.

I agree. I sometimes think suicide is the most difficult thing to do for a human being. The final exam, basically.

Buy a ceiling hook on Amazon that can support your body weight or to be discreet but an indoor swing on Amazon for adults and find a support beam to install it with. Super easy, that's the method I'm going with. Just tie the rope around it and your good. 👍

@TheSilentPrincess thank you for your inputs!
will a hook from amazon hold my weight?
I want to make sure there will be no bad surprises. No fail.
It depends on the ceiling, too. If it is from plaster the hook might not hold.
Theres no support beam here.

Have you already bought a hook and installed it?

I bought a rope two days ago. Its not too thick, maybe 0,5 cm and from some artificial fibre like nylon and/or polyester.
Still have to find our, if it works with this one.
