Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Howdy. Since I feel like GSW to the head might just leave me vegetative if I pull/flinch, I've been considering hanging more seriously.

I think I'd have to do full suspension, not a huge issue, I just worry about falling to either side during partial and not allowing for full lethality. Maybe I'll hold the gun, too, just in case something goes wrong since I wouldn't be able to get back down to readjust.

My plan to work up the nerve is to take propranolol and also maybe ambien? I have 3 of the 5 mg for ambien, regular pills. I also have 13 of the 10 mg propranolol regular pills. I've only used the ambien once before, just 1 for a sleep study.

If someone with some pharmacology knowledge is so inclined to weigh in, what do we think of either or both of these drugs taken after the setup is completed and before the attempt? Just to chill me out and better increase the odds that I don't struggle too much? Not quite sure on timing and dosage, but I'm a 130 pound female if it helps.

Hi there,

I feel like zolpidem/Ambien is not going to be a great choice here. Even if your goal is to be impulsive or emotionally-driven by the cortical control suppression, it's quite unpredictable because it's not that selective (you impair sequencing, coordination, and context awareness, not just self-consciousness). With propranolol as well, you'll sort of be disinhibited yet uncoordinated. Not ideal before you try intentionally hang yourself.

The sort of lack of inhibition you're after of fewer self-critical thoughts, more spontaneity, etc. still depends on coherent cortical function, you need be aware to some degree and able to intentionally follow through. The window between being relaxed and disoriented is razor thin. It depends far too much on genetic metabolism differences if you haven't experienced it before.

Propranolol is better since it just acts peripherally and very mildly centrally, so at least theoretically, it should reduce the Fight or Flight / SI without altering judgement. I actually know a surgeon who uses propranolol off-label: you basically stay clear-headed but less shaky, so to say.

I Love You Chick GIF

Thank you so much. I'll definitely avoid the ambien!
