Hello,

I know there are loads of posts on hanging but I need to know how to do it with clothing. I'm currently in hospital. No, nothing will get better, trust me.
I have short laces, and then a hoodie and a pair of tracksuit bottoms, and pyjama bottoms.
Please please help me. There are officially no ligature points, however someone in the room before me has obviously wrecked it a bit and there is a low shelving unit on legs, one of which is exposed- just a metal stump.
I don't know how I'd manage to get something longenough to create a partial hanging from that

Thank you

Tough one. I would suggest not to rush it. You need at least 1 hour of not being disturbed to carry out hanging. If you get disrupted early, you might just injure yourself AND you will be warded even longer under more watch.

Best bet is to try and get discharged asap. So that you can plan a good method.

If really want to CTB now, my only suggestion is to flip the shelves upside down so the leg is on top. That could be used as a vintage point for partial. But again consider the time needed without disruption, the stabality of the shelve.. ect. Also could try the toilet. Shower head? Towel hanger?

Thank you I really appreciate it.
The shower head is ligature proof- it's in the wall and we have no towel rail.

I've also just come across some very helpful information on the site. Ideally I think I'd like SN now actually and I'm in the uk so it seems I should be able to obtain it. I also read about strangulation with knots etc. I feel better knowing I have options.
Thank you

Do you have sheets? If not use the bottoms.
No doorknobs I'm assuming? Turn something with feet over and put it around that. Does your bed have feet and does it come up at all? If it does you can hook something under it then bring it over the top of the bed and try to get most of your weight off the other side. Or if your bed it heavy enough just put an end under some part of it.

All of this would likely not work because of thrashing or survival instinct and because you won't have a long interrupted period where no one checks on you. I sympathize though.
