I'm not sure what category to put this post under, but I'm curious. I've heard of folks successfully achieving partial or full suspension with less-than-ideal materials. Cords, torn bedsheets, and even shoelaces. Without a doubt, some of these would be excruciatingly painful, even for a few seconds. I frequently wonder if these people simply have an extraordinary level of pain tolerance or if their desire to die outweighs the anguish they feel.
