I made a thread today about decapitation hanging and think not much can go wrong. What do you think?

Who knows what is included in that statistic? It could include every cack-handed attempt by a prisoner with a shoestring, and all those who are gesturing or simply incompetent. As far as these things go, >80 percent are reasonable odds imo.

It certainly depends on what you include in statistics.
And I am sure there are several failed attempts which are not reported.
Still, medical textbook with scientific references says 97.
All textbooks I have seen agreed that lethality is very high.

Depends on the type of hanging. If this a drop and you do it right you'll snap your neck. If you tie the noose wrong you'll slowly lose the ability to breathe while trying to break free. Make sure it's in a place no one finds you during or you'll have lasting damage.

People fail to adequately follow the required regimen for N and fail, people blast off half their face with a shotgun and live, folk leap in front of trains and got knocked out of the way. No method is 100% certain, hanging is no different but imo if you get the prep right it's possible to turn the margins in your favour.

In my case I was discovered due to my roommate forgetting her iPad for work...

Surprised you didn't end up in the psych ward. When I had a serious plan to die I wasn't even put in the psych ward, fiance broke up with me though. Ironic since she was the one who demanded I keep taking the crappy meds. I regret not taking myself out of the game earlier

I was in the psych ward she was just in one for longer lol
