Method Had my SN purity assayed (US)

I know a lot of people on here are wondering about legit sources for SN, and while sourcing is against the rules, I believe I can talk about my own if I'm vague. I got my SN from a...popular internet arts and crafts site, shall we say. I am in the US, and the product shipped from the US (Dublin, CA.) I am nowhere near CA and I got my order in five days. The seller/company initials were LW. The 4oz/113g bottle was mailed out on the same day I ordered with a stated purity of 99.6%. My friend, a chemistry grad student at the local college, came by today and picked up a couple of grams to test the purity for me (and also to give me a better container to store it in, although after she saw what they shipped it in she said the original container was fine and wouldn't affect the shelf life.) She just texted me and said she determined the purity to be 99.31%, but she said the .3% difference could have been from impurities from the transfer and transporting it to the lab. Hope this helps someone!

She said that almost every university and community college (with a chemistry department) offers this service for cheap or free to the public. As a way to get chem students real world experience in testing compounds and stuff. If you've got a school near you, just call up the chem dept and ask, never hurts!

Might do that, but I'm leaning towards trusting what I ordered as it came with an absolute mountain of data sheets. Mine is 97%, should be good enough to ctb you'd think.

Thanks. This is the brand I got. I was pretty confident based on a couple reviews on the site I bought from (reviewers said family members ctb'ed with it), but it's comforting to know 100% that it's good.

Shit dude (or dudette) I'm no chemist...that's what my girl said, I kinda got the idea it was the putting it in another container to transport it that might have done the deed. It wasn't some super special chemistry container, she just put it in a little bag that looked like a drug bag lol

This makes me exceptionally nervous. The buzz around SN being used for suicides is starting to pick up. I'd be very nervous about revealing to more parties than necessary that I have SN and want to test its purity. Having a friend on the inside is one thing (although that also makes me nervous) but approaching a third party, particularly at an institution, would really worry me.

yeah i got the brand that you use now. that was the one brand that i wanted to buy earlier. but they didn't ship to my country so i had to buy another brand which is that "M" brand
