The most accessible method for me right now is H2S (in a car, with signage posted). The PPEH says to mix 500 ml of hydrochloric acid and lime sulfur. The lime sulfur is easy, but hydrochloric acid is available in different strengths. What strength concentration of hydrochloric acid should be used for best results? Thank you.

I suggest not to use too concentrated hydrochloric acid because the higher the concentration the more hydrogen chloride will also be emitted into the the air and inhaling this gas will build hydrochloric acid in your body. It's very uncomfortable. You can do some tests to see how the reaction is best with the least emission of HCl (gas).

I don't want to stop you from your plan, but why do you want to CTB with H2S? Did you consider the CO Method (using charcoal?) It's very effective without having to endure the smell of rotten eggs.

I've considered that, as well. But I'm unsure what types of charcoal would emit the most CO.

Best is regular charcoal (not briquettes). You can buy a CO meter and do tests, Generally any kind of coal produces CO after it's glowing. There's an asumption of at least 135g charcoal / cbm that should produce enough CO. Please reconsider your plan with H2S it's very unpleasant, but anyway it's up2you.

Thanks for your advice. At this point, I'm looking for effective. It can't be any worse than what I'm enduring on a daily basis now.

H2S is extremely quick and deadly so clear signs are vital to reduce risk to others.
