If you don't screw it up, yes.

I work in the medical field and can tell you there are a lot more cases of failures than people hear about.

I read about it alot too, there was a beautiful girl put a riffle in her mouth and the bullet didn't go up to the brain, instead it exit out where her nose bridge is. She lost the front of her face (from eyes below), the whole brain still intact ofcourse since it never get up there.

And this one here: as you see this whole brain still intact, he just blow his mouth and whote nose off.

Shotgun to mouth, facial rescontruction, didn't die. Gore warning.

Yeah, I sure don't want to be like that guy.

Since you say you in the medical field, cases that you know fail, where did they shoot?

The human reaction time is approximately 200 milliseconds, the bullet be through your brain before you can hear the 'bang' you can google this. Also think of when you kick a football very hard and as the ball fly away the sound is delayed for a few milliseconds.

Also it usually takes quite a while to feel the pain of an injury; like when you stub your toe really bad or you fall on the pavement, there's usually a gap where you first make the realization something bad has happened of maybe 2-5 seconds and only then you feel the pain. And the 'suffering' part of it has an even further delay because you are overwhelmed by the sensations first without being able to think 'woe is me' so to speak.

What about two shots from the side of the ear to aim the brainstem?

Not always. Even if you have skills and experience with guns you can still make yourself vegetable for the rest of your life.

Just curious, how old are you OP?

Who the hell want to put their life in the hand of someone else? What if they miss the shot and you not end up dead, and end up paying all the consequences of a gunshot failure, and I don't need to say more on what the outcome is if you fail a gun sucide.

If I go the gun route, I will the the only one do it, my life is in my hand, fail or succeed, only me. It MY life.

Not sure, I don't get access to that information. Just the after effects.

if you study up exactly where to shoot it should be. When I first joined here I was going to use a gun. However I'm glad I found this place because the way I was gonna do it I probably would have survived. A gun is now my back up method.

The primary reason I have opted for full suspension hanging is due to the difficulty in obtaining a licensed firearm, although they tell you this permits are rarely granted—-the sheriff has full discretionary authority. I pseronally would pay heavily for a handgun. Next to jumping and hanging, death by firearm is a virtual certainty.

Eh, I'd never tell anyone to suicide. I'm just fucking through with this bullshit.

Don't jinx me :-p My only fear is using a fucking hunting handgun is somehow not going to turn my entire brain into jello

This is attempt, uhhhh, 5? So I know the drill: I'm already in the happy, calm, kind of nauseous but "I'm done, fuck all of this" mode

I lost my brother to a gun suicide. He was still alive for 8-12 hours. I think he was unconscious the whole time, but it was terrifying.

I'm sorry, but I'm not interested in elaborating about my brother's death at this time.

Quick? Yes. Easy? No. I think it takes a lot to be able to pull the trigger, more so than swallowing something or even hanging. Survival instinct is not an easy thing to overcome. And if you mess up...

very high success rate. I'd position myself somehow next to a lake or pool so when I'd pull the trigger i would die by drowning if not by the bullet itself.

Sorry to hear that. What was the location?
Sorry, answering questions about my brothers death can be triggering, and I wasn't in a mindset to do so. He used a handgun to the side of the head. It came out the other side, and he was still breathing and picked up in and ambulance and all, where doctors tried to save him, and probably contributed to him living as long as he did. Maybe I'm just too triggered by this method because of my experience seeing the gore of it all, but it's such a violent, traumatizing, and bloody way to go. Freaks me out personally.
