One of the best and fastest ways to kill yourself is by booking a session at a gun range and shooting urself in the head. Clean and fast. The only negative point is that you will Shock an innocent guy but lets be honest, being selfish is in our nature and who gives a fuck about a random person, at least you have your eternal peace.

Personally I would never do that at a gun range. It is unnecessary to traumatize other customers and staff members of the gun range. Also, I think of the undue negative publicity my death would bring to their business.

There are effective guns that can be bought for a couple hundred dollars. The result is the same but without the trauma to innocent people.

True, still my personal preference is a method that minimizes involving other people.

I live in the US and own several guns but yet I have chosen nitrogen as my way out. For me, not only do guns create a mess and a potentially traumatizing sight for whoever finds my body, but they are also less reliable.

That video does not confirm your claims. Shooting under distress makes it significantly harder to hit the target. This poor soul shot himself in the chin with his head tilted backwards, and might have completly missed the brain. It's a coin toss between him being dead, or alive with part of his face missing.

Renting a gun, range time, and ammo is going to be at least $100. For $150-$200, you can get a 12gauge, highpoint 40, 10mm or 45, a box of slugs or hp ammo, and take care of this yourself, in a much more controlled environment.

The range is super risky. They have cameras on each lane. As soon as someone sees you put the gun near your face, staff will be in there in a second.

I didn't even know there were ranges in Europe. Thought those were banned too. Totally understand now. Be very careful if you follow through with these plans.

I don't know where he lives in Europe. But in Holland the maximum allowed is a cap gun, awesome on the range. xD

And here I am, trying to decide between an AK-47 or ar10 or both, which would make guns 13 and 14 that I own.

Really liking that ar10 with a 4-16x scope and bipod.

Although I'm really wanting a .338 to live out my Chris Kyle fantasies. Unfortunately, don't have $10k+ for this level of rifle and optics.

Which state you live that you can own that kind of stuff?? :D You need a license also for that ?
AR and .338 looks badass

I always liked the scorpion guns. But i don't know if they are practical. Never seen real gun in my life (nobody does here, except some criminals)

Join all the corona hoppers and come down south, got plenty of ranges here with real guns. (though you'd need a valid national ID)

Just a warning: when my friends and I were in the Czech Republic on vacation, we went to a gun range that had really, really big guns. They almost didn't let my friend in because he looked "too sad." We had to convince them that he was with us and none of us were looking to die.

So, if you really are going to go this route, put on your best poker face or you might get turned away at the door.

Belgium? Can you shoot 9mm there?
Much more than 9mm, but I can't recommend killing yourself at a gun range, mostly because I am a selfish bastard. It would suck if they started turning me away because I am there by myself. (like some ranges in the US have started doing because of the suicides)

No that's not my intention. I would never do that ;) Just curious because in NL everything so restricted.

Pretty much every state. Even California allows guns. No license required - you just need to pass an FBI NICs check.

Some states like NC need a permit to purchase handguns. But everything else is straightforward

Oh yeah. To the best of my knowledge, he's not suicidal at all; just really introverted and keeps to himself.

I dunno about Ohio. But Ive lived in Arizona and Texas: plenty of guns everywhere. Even your neighborhood Walmart would sell guns

This happened where I live in Florida (USA). A lady went to a gun range near my house and CTB. They have cameras in the range, and it was a big news story. After that, several people went to the range and did the same thing. They ended up tearing down the building completely and building a new one nearby with a more secure gun range and new rental policies.

Since most gun ranges have tons of cameras these days, if you CTB this way, you'll likely be all over the local news for a while. Personally, I want this to be as private and secluded as possible, so that sounds awful to me.

This happened in Seattle as well. Eventually all the ranges stopped renting out guns to people who came in alone. You either had to have someone with you. Or you had to have your own gun.

Arizona. No license needed for anything, including concealed carry. And yes, you can carry with a round chambered.

.338 would be sweet, but damn, those rounds are minimum $4 each. Even a 50 round day at the range is going to be about $250...

Sucks because I can blow through 300-500 rounds in my ar's for less than that.

Leaning toward a heavy barrel 308 or 300 win mag bolt rifle. 308 is only $2 per round for match grade.

wow $4 a round really expensive.
So it's a bit of an expensive hobby even $2 a round.

A day shooting is $$$

You really only need match grade to be consistent at 500+ yards. Decent 308 brass ammo from a name brand manufacture will get you to 300 yards no problem for $1/round or less. There are videos of people hitting 11" steel targets at 500 yards with steel tula and wolf at $0.60/round.

Also, keep in mind with a bolt action rifle, you're not doing mag dumps and trying to empty 30 rounds in under 10 seconds. You're usually lining up every shot, waiting for wind to calm down, controlling your breathing, etc. So shooting even 50 rounds is probably 2-3 hours of range time.

And 338 is cheap compared to match 50bmg. There you are $8+/round. They are sold in boxes of 10, not 20 haha.

No outdoor ranges near me. I only have an indoor range. And theres absolutely no point in taking my rifles out to a 25 yard range.

Damn! I really miss Arizona!

I think the range officer shouldn't be standing behind the person. When I go to the range alone, the range officer usually stands right next to me and gets involved super fast if I was doing something wrong (less than a second!). There is only one range that allows me to shoot alone without a range officer. They asked me why I want to rent and shoot a 45acp gun lol.

suicides at ranges are really frustrating. They impact multiple people and traumatize them.
