The cheapest can do. Just make sure it's reliable. Check YouTube for tutorial. There's a bunch of USA based YouTubers who do pretty great tutorials on how to handle a gun

I also didn't really know anything about shotguns before a couple months ago, but after looking into it and with a little help with the megathread, the specs that I've found will suffice are:

12 gauge
#00 buckshot pellets
3" chamber/shell
18.5" barrel

Also to note, you will have a much higher success rate if you hit the brain stem. With a shotgun, you basically have multiple little bullets tearing apart your neurons at multiple different spots, which results in a much quicker death (instant) and higher success rate. With a handgun / rifle / single shot firearm, not hitting your brain stem will result in a slower / more painful death and higher (tho still not very high) survival rate.

thank you. i was going to point in my mouth- should i point down? the mega threads also dont mention if i should keep the gun rested in my mouth or a couple inches out

The brain stem is located roughly behind the nose and between the ears, which is why people say to shoot through the mouth rather than upwards under the chin.

Personally, since I'm planning on using a shotgun, I'll basically be shooting a dozen little bullets through my brain in every direction, so I'm not too concerned about missing.
