Melancholia is a good one. Has been recommended before, but it's worth another mention.The first part of the film really resonted with me. The feeling of being alone while in company is captured so well here. Everyone being so ridiculously petty and selfish while there is a literal planet about to collide with the earth is such a great metaphor.

Lars von trier is the king of depression in movies. Melancholia is good but imo antichrist is better. Other miserable von trier films that i love are breaking the waves and dancer in the dark. Seriously dancer in the dark may be the most upsetting film of all time it WILL make you cry.

I liked on the count of three. It's more light hearted and about a pair of friends who decide to commit suicide together and want to go through a day of getting things done together. It was really good in my opinion

"Control" which is about Joy Division's Ian Curtis. One of my favorites and interesting to me because of his illness and subsequent suicide.
