If you dont have any heirs then your debts will die with you.
Im also broke, with inumerous debts, but at least i know that legally speaking if i die there will be no more debts and my parents wont be impacted (i dont have any kids).

Dont worry, the good thing about dying is you dont have to pay anything anymore.

Pain and worries are gone.

Credit scores are becoming more and more important as our economy progresses. You should really think hard and long about your commitment to CTB before going down this sink hole. I would not advise going into debt if you plan on living and are just in a depressive state for the time being. That said, never having had a credit card, your chances of getting more than a few grand are slim.

A nice way to go would be to work hard on your credit so you can eventually cash out and enjoy it before CTBing. It takes years to build but it might be worth it.

How expensive is your chosen method of CTB going to be?

It's all fine if you're 100% certain you will ctb, otherwise you will just make life worse for yourself. It's not easy to recover from debt. Please think long and hard if you really are certain you want to ctb and also if your method has a really high chance of working.

It's a bit tricky to give an answer without touching a very grey area of fraud if there is no intent to pay back etc...

However, I would say that theoretically, if someone was going to CTB then why not spend out some debt, the banks would just write it off out of their ridiculous profits anyway.

If someone has assets etc, they can claim back from that.

I would hazard a guess that most people who CTB have no real assets to sieze after death anyway... so its a moot point.

Yeah thats what i was thinking, and i'd probably borrow less than 1K they'd hardly notice

I think I'd just make absolutely sure I wanted to CTB first before going into debt. If you still have reservations maybe treat going into debt as "pulling the trigger", so to speak, so that you won't get yourself into unnecessary trouble later. This sounds like a very rough situation to be in so I'm sorry for that.

They probably won't give you a ton of credit right away anyway. And to build up your credit you need to almost max out your credit card anyway. So may as well go for it! Being in debt is the American way 🤷‍♂️

This decision is terrible. Survival instinct is tough. Many of us here will probably never commit suicide. You probably will just make your life even more miserable to live. There are 25 attempts for every one suicide. I have seen many stories of people on here who get all of the supplies ready and then right at the last second, they say they don't want to do it. Don't do this because most of us are pussies to kill ourselves. You'll just land yourself in a far worse position. Thinking about how I could suicide is very comforting, but I also know that if I had all of the supplies and could kill myself with a 100% chance, I'd chicken out and many others, even suicidal, would as well.

Apply for a credit card and let the bank decide whether they want to take the risk on you.

Get your credit and use it for whatever you want!

That's what I'll be doing too. I want to buy a gun. It's sad because I'm such a loser that my mom has always tried to maintain my credit even as the cost of blowing her own. I hope the GoFundMe I set up for her before I pull the trigger will be successful in helping her out.

I was thinking this too. I'm already in. £2,500 debt from a stupid overdraft and have zero money. I'm worried that I would get in more debt to procure the materials to CTB and then change my mind and have to deal with more debt while living lol. Maybe that would give me the final push I need to brave the fall to hell

That's not true. The best way to build credit is to utilize less than 15% of your total limit per month and pay on time.

OP make sure to go through an actual bank and not a credit union. Actual banks can go suck dick because they cause the biggest problems [cough cough HOUSING MARKET CRASH 2008]. Credit unions are there to help people. Go through a real bank!!!! But also listen to other people, what they're saying is true: going into debt to CTB is not a good idea because most people here never successfully do it. You'll screw yourself over more by deciding not to CTB after having the stuff and then you'll feel forced to do it because of the debt, which is not great.

I don't think materials for ctb should cost more than a few hundred usd. This is not a significant amount of debt to go into and the peace of mind of having a reliable method is worth it, at least for me

If you die , and no one else is responsible , then your credit card debts , regardless of amount , die with you. So there would be no consequences at all.Its a as simple as that.
But , and this is important , only take them out and max them out if you are really going to ctb .

Of course you can. In a Biden economy there is a magical well of money located in Joe Public's pockets. Whenever the urge strikes you plunge your arm in and grab a wad of cash from the bottomless ocean of greenbacks.
