Basically everything the previous posters said.
Even if I were born into the Rockefeller family - ultimately everyone suffers, it just varies in intensity.
Life has more suffering than joy. I blame our materialist nature and I do not mean money. We have bodies and a limited lifespan. If we were "ascended" beings of energy with infinite time we might improve over time, but as it is right now we just go through these steps in my opinion:
1. Hello who dis
2. Shit what the fuck is happening
3. Okay I'll try to fight and cheat everyone else too then
4. How long do I have to do this
5. *finally has money and a stable position but health is ruined*
6. *dies*
It's just so utterly pointless.
(I still try to create some good memories though because I don't want this life to have been completely in vain)
Unless I was able to set my own parameters, it'd almost always be a no.
The world terrifies me, there's so much pain & cruelty in it. Even if I wasn't in pain I'd have to sit by as others were
Thank you for this beautiful thought. It's not only my own situation. It's other's too. Now even if I were born into the Rockefeller's I couldn't help everyone: Why do random people who never hurt anyone burn to death or get horribly ill etc.? I would have to start euthanizing people to help them get peace... and at that point you're back to the statement above.
