Personally, I think the greatest reason not to ctb is because you only get one guaranteed life. Death is perminate.
Why is that a bad thing? Isn't permanence good? After all, why would anybody want a temporary solution over a permanent one? Not to mention at how it's impossible to regret killing yourself after you die since dead people can't perceive anything like you said.
I don't believe ctb is a solution rather than a choice. Death could be nothing like
@HereTomorrow mentioned. Or it could be something, theres no way to know. (Who knows, you might still be able to regret) It could be worse or better, or something incomparable to life. So by choosing to ctb you are accepting the possibility of anything after death.
I am not the right person to ask this question. But the fact that you're only guaranteed one life. It could be considered a waste to cut it short rather than to live it to the fullest understanding you'll face whatever death is later regardless.
Life/Death are only modes. There is no good reason to ctb or to live. "Since your only guaranteed one life might as well tough it out, and make it feel meaningful." Is probably the most reasonable resson not to ctb.
But I'd love to hear your thoughts! This is a question I wish I thoight to ask on SaSu. It's something I've always wished I could ask people I know. :)
(I am a bit stoned right now too so sorry for any grammatical errors!) :P
