Nobody can give you a good reason not to kill yourself. Whether you want to kill yourself or not is your decision. Only you understand yourself well enough to find a good reason as to why you shouldn't kill yourself. The only thing everyone else can do is different random reasons to the wall until something hopefully sticks.

That scene sums up that dumpster fire of a movie and the dumpster fire of life. The writers clearly knew that they couldn't make that scene funny or serious - Soup and Salad - ah yes - the normie lifestyle.

A lot of people do recover. Only a tiny tiny percentage of people have untreatable MH illnesses and go on to CTB.

Sadly I am in the untreatable group but it's very possible you can recover.

What is the point of such a question? No one should give you reasons to continue or stop your existence, only you knows. Do whatever your want.

I have no information about your case, maybe you don't have any options except CTB, or maybe everything is not so bad for you and you can safely continue your life and fight for every day. Tell us what broke you?

Death is permanent. To CTB is (quite literally) the last thing you can do in your life. There's no promise we can percieve anything after death, which can bring solace and peace to some and horrifying to others. After all, our entire lives have been nothing but perceiving things.

You can always hold off another day to CTB, but if/when you do the act and succeed, you can't go back. Nobody here will ever encourage you to do it, but we respect your decision in the end regardless. SaSu's pro choice, not pro-life or pro-death.

Why is that a bad thing? Isn't permanence good? After all, why would anybody want a temporary solution over a permanent one? Not to mention at how it's impossible to regret killing yourself after you die since dead people can't perceive anything like you said.

You say "if/when you do the act and succeed, you can't go back" but wouldn't such a sentence be incoherent because, after death, there is no "you" anymore?
Because most suicide attempts fail and you could end up worse off and a vegetable
This is the best reason here imo

There are hundreds of reasons.

Puppies.
Kittens.
Axolotls.
Eclipse 8 April 2024.
Eclipse 12 August 2026.
New music.
New movies.
New books.
New TV shows.
New family members (babies).
New families (weddings).
New horizons (travel).
Making new friends.
Making new memories.
Conquering new challenges.
Finding satisfaction with life.

If you're like me, you probably have little to no interest in the list provided. When we're so set to commit suicide it's easy to say, fuck it I don't care. We recommend that you search for something to live for instead of an excuse to not kill yourself. Big hugs. Be well on your journey.

Personally, I think the greatest reason not to ctb is because you only get one guaranteed life. Death is perminate.
Why is that a bad thing? Isn't permanence good? After all, why would anybody want a temporary solution over a permanent one? Not to mention at how it's impossible to regret killing yourself after you die since dead people can't perceive anything like you said.

I don't believe ctb is a solution rather than a choice. Death could be nothing like @HereTomorrow mentioned. Or it could be something, theres no way to know. (Who knows, you might still be able to regret) It could be worse or better, or something incomparable to life. So by choosing to ctb you are accepting the possibility of anything after death.

I am not the right person to ask this question. But the fact that you're only guaranteed one life. It could be considered a waste to cut it short rather than to live it to the fullest understanding you'll face whatever death is later regardless.

Life/Death are only modes. There is no good reason to ctb or to live. "Since your only guaranteed one life might as well tough it out, and make it feel meaningful." Is probably the most reasonable resson not to ctb.

But I'd love to hear your thoughts! This is a question I wish I thoight to ask on SaSu. It's something I've always wished I could ask people I know. :)

(I am a bit stoned right now too so sorry for any grammatical errors!) :P

Everyone's situation is different. What did you go through in life that warrants your ctb?
Can the damage be reversed? Is it too late?

What is your mental health today?

There are too many factors involved and with a person like me where there is no way back in to life, ctb is the only way out
