What do you guys think of this?

It seems to me like Conrad was uncertain about if he wanted to go through with it or not but she pressured him into it. I think that if someone is unsure whether or not they want to ctb the right thing to do is to encourage them to reconsider and look at other options, rather than to go through with ctb.

Involuntary manslaughter? She bloody killed him, intentionally. It wasn't being pro-choice imo. Good decision to uphold her conviction though.

This video gives a lot more detail, and makes it very obvious that his girlfriend wanted him to ctb so she could get attention and act like a hero

Absolutely. She was a sick and twisted little girl. She deserves more time than what she got.

I know, I can't believe she still hasn't served any time. I think Conrad really just wanted someone to support him and help him pull through, not force him to end his life :( he must've felt so lost..

how the fuck is this sick shit making her any sort of a hero

why is the world obsessed with attention from stupid homo sapiens sapiens? everything became a fucking fight for likes follows and confirmation for being king/queen of the superficial ones...I can only puke when some stupid being starts talking about 'haters' ... who the fuck are you and why do you think anyone cares?
the ones trying to look good instead of just doing something good that's worth the time are the worst

I have mixed feelings on this one.

Conrad seemed unsure, and Carter should've helped him out. He was vunerable. She preyed on a vulnerable person so she could get sympathy. She absolutely deserves jail time and should get a harsher punishment.

Then there's a part of me, like less than 1%, that wonders if maybe she did him a favor. If maybe his uncertainty was the survival instinct, and he would've regretted not going through with. So maybe she "helped" him overcome the SI and find peace.

Also, Conrad was 18, so he could have chosen not to follow her orders.

But we don't know if it was the SI or if he had other doubts. We'll never know. And her motives were and still are sick.

She should have called for help. She should have not told Conrad to get back in the car.

Even if it was the SI speaking, what she did was not okay. Especially considering her motives. It wasn't someone trying to help another person find their peace. It was a case of getting attention and sympathy.

After Conrad passed she started posting online about how she couldn't save him and doing pro-life/suicide prevention stuff for charities despite the fact she pressured him into ctb in the first place. Basically used his suicide to make herself look good until she was caught

I find it hard to believe she was just helping him overcome his SI, it is a possibility but as soon as I think of her motives, I think she wanted him to die so she could get attention and use his death to preach and seem like a good person.

Honestly I think this girl emotionally manipulated this poor guy who was very vulnerable at that time, into doing something he obviously wasn't ready to do and wouldn't have done on his own, and she should serve jail time for that, or at least be punished in some way.

Absolutely agree. My point more was there may be a silver lining to this, but that wasn't her intention at all. Her intention was to get people to pity her as the "grieving girlfriend."
