Over the years I've made plans in my head on what I'd do if I STB. They changed depending on my living situation, of course. Now I'm more serious than ever about CTB, and doing it soon. I have a lot of stuff though. Lots of (what I think is, lol) valuable collectables. Part of me wants to make load after load of things to thrift stores until there's nothing but a bare and empty mini apartment, and leave nothing behind. Part of me wants to get rid of any personal things, and let the owner have the rest to get rid of. I don't want to leave it to any family, as they are far away, and it isan't my style anyway. Lots of work and bare walls, or leaving my goodies behind for others? I lean towards bare walls, but it's alot of work.

Bare walls can help to feel more focused and resolved to ctb, I think. Like a stage of erasing yourself.

I bought a papershredder to shred every piece of paper I own with my name on it, I'm loving it.

Funny you say that not_a_robot. That's also part of my plan. I bought a really nice shredder before everything fell apart on me. So I have an office grade shredder for the job!

I think they make shredders louder than necessary for the psychological satisfaction of feeling like we're "destroying" the paper we don't like.
Listen to that thing. It doesn't need to be that loud.

What is wrong with me that my first thought was "that looks like an excellent place to hold and torture someone."

It stops being "torture" when you start enjoying it, weirdo.

I've actually been tied to a chair like that. Being bound up but able to roll around and do nothing else is frustrating as fuck. :pfff:

I have also got rid of most of my clothes , bedding , towels etc , i had all these full and the drawers , a wardrobe with just jackets (the one i`m using now) and another double in the other bedroom with winter gear in , so i cant be here in winter as i dont have any warm clothes and all i have left it what's in the 3rd pic and one spare towel and one set of bedding .

That's my idea. As it stands now, I am surrounded by reminders of better times. A blank slate (as mentioned) lends itself much better to being able to close the door behind you, and leave your life.

Man, I hope my post doesn't end up with some poor bastard in a bad way wondering what led to their predicament....

My room is too much of a shrine to my travels and a home for my books. I'm entombed in memories and ways to escape reality. Maybe if I emptied it all I'd stop procrastinating my bus ride
:blarg:

Are you two in the UK ? asking for a friend
Not anymore, did for a summer as a student studying writing.
