Lemme just vent real quick. The loneliness has started flaring up again, I am reminded that this is why I'm even suicidal in the first place and that I've felt this way for five years without anything improving. The lack of affection and warmth caused me to fail at every area of life for several years; meds, therapy, exercise, socializing, trying educations and working could not make a single dent in the armour of this mortal lack that I was branded with at age 1.

I don't have an anchor point for the rope, when I do I think I'll go through with this.

I feel you, I'm lonely as fuck and want to vent. I also think I just came off as a misogynist in a now-locked thread, when I was trying to make the opposite point

I'm sorry you're impacted by loneliness. With the way the world is now, it makes things worse even if you wanted to put yourself out there. People are dying to connect, but are afraid to.

Also generic venting is just as valid as name-brand venting, if that helps, heh.

You've probably heard this many times before, but I'll say it anyway: things can change very quickly at your age. For instance, I had my first real relationship when I was around 25 and my first real job when I was 30. I'm not saying that things automatically will get better in your life, but it's definitely possible. I'd say, give it a couple of more years. If your situation is the same when you turn 40 you can as well shoot yourself, though.

loneliness kills me from the inside too. I am starting to think that covid is making it worse, just knowing that I cant go out of the country to go see the wolves, and not able to meet people in person. Just the thought of it alone is really bothersome.

I understand what a partner can give you and what you want but the company can also come from other types of relationships that aren't romantically. If you open your eyes a little more, you may find other points to support yourself until what you really want arrives.

I'm sorry about the problems regarding your home's ventilation system and the acute pain that comes from reflecting on your own loneliness. Even if the result didn't turn out as you would have liked, it still worth acknowledging your efforts. I'm not sure how you see yourself or if this lack of affection has left you thinking that you are this irredeemable and unlovable person...but if that is the case, then it must be incredibly painful. For what little it is worth, I've found that lovely people came into my life when I stopped thinking about relationships and abandoned my expectations. It's not something that is easily set aside, though. As some of the older posters have said, a lot can change at your age - I don't know how comforting that is, but is could be worth a shot. It feels pretty awesome to cast, I'm not going to lie. Although, for those who didn't obtain this power by choice, I imagine that it must be an excruciating journey.
