the daughter suspects carbon monoxide poisoning.
i wonder if it's the same case i have read about. where a husband self deleted with a BBQ grill in their house.
then the wife came home and opened the door and there was so much smoke that she sadly also died, by accident.
i wonder if it's the same scenario in the case of gene hackman and his wife. RIP.

ARE YOU IN America? do you know if gas stoves over there can "give off" carbon monixide? sorry maybe stupid question.
we only use electric here in my country so i have no idea what could have happened to them.

Apparently CO ruled out. Wife found surrounded by pills and one dog was lockers up. Two other dogs did not die. They had been dead for a while as there are signs of mummification.

the dog was locked up, you say? i heard something about a closet. i figured the dog just liked to lay inside the closet sometimes.
i didn't know someone locked it inside the closet.
do you know where the other two dogs were?

Reuters reports he was in the kitchen, she and dog were in bathroom with prescription pills spilled on the floor. Front door was ajar, not forced.
Seems like CO to me.
Neither had wounds, it appeared they both collapsed.

I suspect the gas stove or another gas appliance malfunction. He opens the door and goes to check. She's feeling sick and goes to get her meds.
And...
RIP...

To answer this, gas stoves use "natural gas", a mixture of mostly methane and other flammable gases. It does not contain carbon monoxide naturally. While incomplete combustion can lead to the release of CO, this is rare and would most likely be the result of a broken/faulty stove.

Hi @mods. This is an automated timed message. If u are reading this i am the person who played "Popeye Doyle" in the popular film 'The French Connection'. The bloke from 'Jaws' was my co-star in this. Good times! Anyway I've just killed my wife and dog so please can you delete my account. Thanks.

Honestly at 95 years old your body and immune system are so worn out you could probably die from just about anything.

I'm wondering if he was either dead from his age or ctb and she then overdosed upon finding him but this still wouldn't account for the dog. They had been married for about 34 years. She was also 32 years younger than him. On a side note the guy who started Popeyes chicken loved the French connection movie so much that he named his company after Hackman's character. It will be interesting to see what they discover about this case. He was fantastic in The quick and the dead. I'd recently seen pictures of him out and about and wouldn't have recognized him. I'm glad he's no longer suffering and hope he passed peacefully

He died from a fall, and she died from suicide, after discovering him, and the dog died from starvation and thirst because it was locked in the kennel. (That's my theory at least).
