  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Not sure if this has already been asked but, if one were to use a gasoline generator and seal their car to create CO build up, wouldn't the generator also produce heat and possibly melt the inside of the car/become unbearable?

I have heard this method suggested before by a family member oddly enough, but you do bring up a good point and I'm honestly not sure how much of an issue that would be. I imagine they do put off some heat while running, but not sure if it's enough to become an issue for CTB. Perhaps someone more familiar with generators will be able to chime in.

Doing this in cooler/colder weather would be best, IMO. But, it has been done successfully, but not sure what the temps were outside at the time. You really need an older generator that emits a lot of pollution. You won't be breathing just CO with a generator, either. There are lots of other nasty stuff that comes from burning gasoline that you'll have to endure for however long it takes. The newer generators are being manufactured to be less polluting, called CARB compliant, and have lower CO output than older ones. Look up a movie called Conrad and Michelle, which is based on a true story. It won't give you details regarding equipment, but it shows the scenario you are talking about. It was a pretty good movie. Charcoal would be better, IMO.
