Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

It's a symptome of extreme depression.

people at work are always telling me that I come off as extremelly composed and confident because there seem to be no sign of nervousness within me and I have a calm aura. That I don't force smiles or that I don't try to fit in.

well, how do I tell them that it's because I'm dead inside. there's litteral no life inside pal.

my soul is sank and I'm using all my nervousness to keep my body afloat so I litteraly don't have time to entertain these mfs with a "personality". I littreally am no one anymore.

would've been a successful monk for sure though

A lot of depressed people are skilled at hiding exactly how bad they feel. I've managed to hide my feelings from my friends and work colleagues for a few months. I don't think any of them would guess that I was thinking about suicide every half-hour.

Everybody said this exact same thing to me all my life. Some of them were even jealous (for some reason?) And tried to break me down by taunting, throwing casual insults at me etc. They'll be so happy when I'm gone😂😂

I'm the same way. People say "You're so calm all the time!" because if an accident happens that would normally make someone exclaim in frustration or surprise, I don't react at all.

Frankly, I don't see the point of reacting to anything. If I spill my coffee, is reacting with "😱😱😱😱😱😱" going to change the fact that it spilled, and I need to clean up the mess? Sometimes I'm convinced people react to situations in 'quirky' or unique ways, because they are trying to make themselves feel special in a sea of mostly unexceptional people. Or to attract mates if they aren't dating or married.

A personality is a utility in that sense, and some people don't need (or don't want) to use it. At the end of the day, we are human #163975903482731, not "Ashley" or "Alex" which are designations meant to distinguish us from each other, and create the illusion of individuality.

>people who seem confident/composed have a "symptome" of extreme depression.
yeah, except this isn't a fact and all you're doing is extrapolating your issues onto other people.
