I am seriously considering full suspension hanging as my method of suicide. I have a question about the relationship between tensile/breaking strength and my weight. What is the minimum ratio that should be successful given that knots will be tied to the anchor point (4:1, 5:1, etc.)? Thanks for any help that can be provided.

Can't specify a ratio but. Just like you probably imagine. It's better to get something with the highest tensile strength/load capacity as possible. I got my static climbing rope from Amazon today. 32 ft of 12 mm static rope. (yeah, yeah, it was the shortest length possible). And it has a load capacity of 4600 lbs. For 23 bucks who could complain.

There's a full guide with data involved that should help, it's floating around the internet somewhere.
Or use to be.
