the short answer is: it depends.
If you hit the carotid artery you'll pass out in 15-30 seconds,
But if you don't it might take longer and hurt.
That's why many people on this forum prefer PSH over FSH, because you can adjust the rope better in order to hit the carotid artery..

It depends on how you do it, if you do it perfectly its pretty painless just discomfort mainly. Theres many ways to mess up however and thats how it becomes painful. Make sure you use the correct knots, place the rope directly centred at the back of your neck tightly and the rope is 10-14mm as well as a good material.
