• Hey Guest,

An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.

Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.

i would suppose it depends on an individual's situation and which country they live in. we can't all live like princes or princesses but from the movies they don't really have much freedom as well (poor them haha). everything seems to take effort. i don't have any particular insight as i think i've not really thought about it. i do remember finally leaving for college and truly felt free for the first time. one thing that sucked though was they raised the drinking age to 21 just before i turned 18.

Getting out of bed takes effort for me, so freedom? Probably depending on what type of freedom we're talking about.

This is referring to freedom from life (it's from the PPH)

Depends what you mean by freedom. If you mean freedom from all suffering and pain, then that can only be caused by death which does take a lot of effort to achieve due to how difficult suicide methods are. If you mean freedom in the same way society uses the word freedom when talking about adulthood, then no, that type of freedom is impossible unless if you're rich or dead to bypass adulthood and working entirely. There's no freedom in being forced to work until old age
