Protonmail VPN

Alternative that isn't a VPN: using Tor (the most private and secure option out there)

If you truly want to have privacy by using a vpn/ have your logs deleted , you gotta have a premium experience. How do you think free vpn services make money & have their servers up?( probably by selling clients data!)

Just lol if you use a vpn to browse here.
Pretty pointless as data can still be exploited even with a vpn. People overthink stuff waaaay too much

The best one is ProtonVPN or try to find m any von profiles for WireGuard VPN.

When it comes to your OS, it's not very safe to do sensitive stuff on Windows.
If you have at least 8gb ram and 4 core CPU, download Linux Mint iso and search for a video tutorial on how to install Linux Mint on Virtual Box.

Installing Linux on Virtual Box won't erase your Windows installation and you can separately encrypt the virtual HDD while being in the Linux Mint installer for free

Hope this isn't too direct but what exactly do you keep locked away on all this stuff to actually warrant so much os?

It is impossible to completely anonymous and that's a fact, plus there is a difference in using vpn before opening tor, and after opening tor, just depends on what encryption your looking fo r depending on what your doing

I totes get that.
In a even more direct point…what exactly are you's hiding? lol

Since like 2016 I've literally spend thousands of pounds on drugs via dn markets using nothing more than tor. Like idk why I'd ever bother using anything, just my phone/laptop and my home wifi

idek why people use even the more pricey security os either

My guess for free is proton, its the best free VPN out there, if your want something better youbyave to pay, that would be NORD or OPEN, NORD would be my choice, and depending on what you want, using a VPN before opening tor is different to using a VPN after opening tor, for extra security is the built in bridges with tor, and on the settings set heighest security, and do not track, you can even link up a travel router to the router you have at home that has OPENWRT, and set security on the for added protection, that's my set up, its not the greatest, but more then most people have, it is impossible to be compltly anonymous, anyone tells you different they don't know what there talking about, the aim with toe is to make it as difficult as possible to be traced, choose Switzerland as your VPN host, they do not come under the law where they have to reveal any traficc if asked. Your welcome, best also to use tails as a operating system, and when u should never use a phone but if you have to, buy a pixle 4 and flash the OS with GRAPHENE OS, which is a security based hardend operation system.
I totes get that.

For vendors, hackers etc, they need more security, not only that hackers look on for, if they see something buying shit they could vet BTC wallet address, or phish you with a website, it has haponed loads of times

Nah, that's fine.
I personally don't use that OS since I use Arch Linux. It's that Arch is for power users and Mint is for Linux newbies and people who want to switch from MacOS/Windows to Linux

When it comes to the whole encryption and Linux stuff it's not really that easy to understand.
See, I'm not a terrorist not do I have some nuke launch codes on my computer but I don't like to use something that has governmental backdoors, can be easily infected with malware and has an paid/questionable encryption (bitlocker in this case).

GNU/Linux is free (libre), open source (community can browse the source code and fix anything by contribution the fixes) and it uses an encryption method (oftentimes LUKS) which is also open source and actually secure.

So, if Germany decides to install so called "Staatstrojaner" on my computers, they would probably give up or try to infect my smartphone instead since it can be really difficult to install malware on GNU/Linux

TAILS is sandboxed on each application, so even if they did find a way to install anything, which would be very difficult trust me, it would not spread to the important parts, and if you have persistence switched off, once shut down, it will be gone,
Sandboxing is one of the many reasons tails is perfect for tor,

You can do both, encrypt the VM itself or/and encrypt Mint during the installation.
