You're right but I think it helps filter out people that are being impulsive. I think people who really mean to go through with it will find what they need eventually. And it protects the sellers. I know it sucks though...

We don't need more cases like Shawn Shatto or the girl who was linked to a reliable SN source in Canada on here, had her mom confiscate the package, and notified the vendor who quickly stopped selling.

It might be gatekeeping, but honestly at this point there's really no other choice.

Yes we need to protect sources. Pro-lifers, LE etc . want to shut down sources and this website. Pro-lifers don't get it that many people in the world and here are suffering and or see nightmarish suffering in their future. I've talked to people here and seen many cases out in the world many cases of people in hell here on Earth .

I've talked to people here with cancer,lyme, kidney stones, tinitus, who were in extreme excruciating constant pain. There are many horrible diseases and other hells like homelessness that a human can fall into and so we need a painless reliable method to escape such terrible suffering and torture . But pro-lifers want to take away that escape so that we either have to suffer extreme torture or kill ourselves brutally with a painful violent method like jumping , train, hanging, gun, knife, drowning .

Why do pro-lifers want to take away our escape from torture and want us to suffer? I have a pretty bad life and i see great suffering in my future if i don't hurry up and kill myself. This is after years of analysing my situation. I'm a nihilist and i don't see a purpose to life anyway but even if i loved life who could tell me that i have to suffer and have no justification to kill myself for what purpose do i have to suffer.

I didn't mean we shouldn't ask for PM's or PM sources. I just think we have to be careful who we even PM to by checking their posting history etc. to try to see if the person is not a pro-lifer. My rant above i posted because i was just so angry at prolifers wanting to take away our escape when many of us are in hell or will be soon. it was just directed at pro-lifers.

As a side issue I think they are nuts for selling meto as well, it makes it totally transparent that they know exactly what it's being used for.

Interesting! Thank you for the information. I will do some research to try to pinpoint this seller. I planned to just take the SN without meto, but I'd prefer not to take the route if possible to reduce the chance of vomiting.

I get we have to be vigilant and keep ourselves safe (we can't throw all our sources or we'll lose them) but we also can't start putting rules on source-sharing just because of pro-lifers—right now it's "you have to prove you're not pro-life", fine, then it'll be "you have to be active here and prove to people with the sources you're worthy of getting SN".

Who's to say eventually someone won't have the idea to (for example) hide it from you until you share your ID, or require you to prove you've gone to therapy/you've "tried to get better"/show your medical records to prove you're ill enough?

Eventually there needs to be a line, otherwise it'll just be faster to throw yourself under a train/on a highway and skip SN entirely, than even try to gain the trust of the people with the info.

I tought this would be a honeypot. Not very smart from the seller's part if it's not. Then again local laws might fully allow this.

I think it is less likely a honeypot, as the potential "crime" of the buyers is low. I'm not sure of the seller's country, but rounding up the suicidal isn't a huge priority, save for perhaps two English speaking nanny states. I think it more likely the seller realizes he/she can mark up extremely cheap SN and that the people who will pay that will also pay huge markups for meto as well.

Selling kits to ctb is going to be a much higher priority for law enforcement, just as they greatly prioritize busting online drug sellers over individual buyers.

I agree with this. If someone has info that they are not willing to share, then they are better off not posting. I always share the info I can because I find it hypocritical to benefit from information given to me and then refusing to give it someone else. However some people may not be comfortable sharing info and that is fine, I just find it extremely rude to publicly say that they have information they are not willing to share.

The seller really wants to sell their SN to suicidal people. They literally came on this site in early November and participated in an SN thread and tried to sell SN directly. Someone reported them and they got banned.

So something tells me they're somewhat immune to pro-lifers contacting them and telling them what the product will be used for. Pro-lifers were most likely responsible for alerting them to this site and instead of being horrified, they saw an opportunity after realising why they sold 10x more SN as their other listed products.

I think it's a bit disturbing, to be honest.
