Venting foolish mistake…

I ordered some SN from CCS a few days ago and it was marked as delivered today. But I made the mistake of putting one wrong number on the address. So now my SN is at my neighbor's house, and they're not opening the door. I left a note but I'm afraid I'm gonna have to reorder and I wasted a good 25 dollars.
Maybe it's a sign from the universe that I shouldn't take my life. But I'm not gonna listen to it. I'm just too tired.

I know that someone's home as there's a car in the driveway, a pair of shoes in front of the front door, and I heard noise coming from inside the house.
These days people don't open their front door because of so many salesmen and religious recruiting so I'm hoping my note will get them to contact me.

I put my neighbors mail IN their box when it was mistakenly put in mine. I'd be be ok with taking mine OUT when it was mistakenly put in theirs.

What harm comes from taking a peep to see if there's box in there? It would literally take 1.7 seconds if the mailbox is accessible.

As long as no one sees you it should be ok, just don't tell anyone you checked in there, jnust trying to be careful- the main thing is don't tell anyone you checked there.

I live in a neighborhood with a cluster mailbox that requires a key. I wouldn't be able to do that anyway, but thanks for the ideas.

That really sounds like such a frustrating situation to be in, it must be awful knowing that the SN is right there yet you cannot access it. But I hope that you find what you wish for, good luck.

I got extremely lucky and managed to be out in my driveway when I saw my neighbors, so I asked them about it and they went to check the mail and had it in their box. I got my SN and now it is in my hands :) Thank you for the kind wishes, it worked out in the end. And thanks to everyone else for the help.

I'm not sure, but it seems common these days for people to not answer their doors because there's been a lot of solicitors recently

Take a breath. If it has your name on it they will probably return it to you. Maybe slip a note under their door that your package is with them and could they please pass it on to you. That way they know you know they have it. Also, it's not like you ordered something labeled death syrup. It's just a chemical. For all they know you're into meat. I hope you get in touch with them soon and get your package.
