I've narrowed to these two as my main options. My preferred spot to jump I'm hearing they're stricter on people who arrive alone. Not letting them in bc of a number of suicides there.

Then my issue with firearm is obtaining it bc I am a medical marijuana card holder. It expires I think around April. From there i read how i can lie and say I don't use anymore. Possibly obtain gun over time but I'm not sure how long that would take to convince the feds and be approved.

Firearm seems more reliable than jumping bc I'm hearing about lots of people dying this way recently. Survival instinct will kick in but maybe not as much as a public leap off a tourist attraction bridge.

I don't want to ask anyone to buy me a gun bc then they'd be implicated in my death even if they didn't know why I wanted it.

Thanks for your message. Definitely both seem scary. I guess I'm reassured hearing people got over their own survival instinct and squeezed the trigger. Can I ask if you have access to either a gun or a long fall? Just curious, in comraderie đź’š

I think a gun leaves more chance of surviving & living as a vegetable, depending on what kind is used.

More people survive jumping due to improper height than do people incorrectly shooting themselves. Firearms are the most lethal method of suicide. Unless you count flying a plane into a building.

Firearms are the Cadillac of methods IMO, for reliability, speed, and painlessness. They're purpose-built killing tools, perfected over 6 centuries. Unless mess is a concern, someone who's serious about CTB and has access to a firearm shouldn't even consider other options.

Damn. Then I'd rather combine the two.

Only painless when they kill you instantly, which is not always what happens. I have access, but my plan A is nitrogen, and my plan B is SN.

A headshot that goes through the brain is painless every single time because the brain doesn't have enough time to process what's happening before consciousness is lost, which happens instantly as bullets travel at over 1000 mph.

Mike O'Callaghan–Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge aka Hoover dam bridge is my backup location, it looks to have less of a secured presence and no fee for admission. Don't have my license to rent a car and get there, but could possibly obtain that quicker than obtaining a firearm so this is looking like my preferred option now.

There was a German pilot who did that if I remember correctly. He suicided with a whole bunch of passengers in the plane. Not cool.
