Mostly a vent. So long story short, my landlord has fucked me really bad. In many other places or other states they wouldn't get away with this, but most everything that could go wrong in a rented dwelling has. They refused to fix no heat, rodent infestation, German roach infestation of the building (I keep a clean place tell me why I woke up to roaches on my face), leaking appliances, failed fridge, etc. I reported it to the property holding company and the manager found out and retaliated - now I have an eviction record and without income I cannot find a new place. She personally talked shit about me to people (witnessed this firsthand), acted really hostile, and classic DARVO. I called code enforcement and the officer for my area informed me himself that she and him are friends. My lawyer tells me that I'm fucked mostly due to state renters' laws, and that anywhere else I could go through with a lawsuit for damages. Really I just want some of my money back and a clean rent history.

Please don't tell me this isn't a good enough reason to ctb, it's not my reason at all!

However, since my method is firearm, I'm not worried about being found. My apt is on the top floor of a smallish building, and on a corner. I only have neighbors below and to one side. No roommates, unless you count the roaches. No kids nearby. Since my firearm is pretty powerful, it's going to possibly penetrate somewhat into whatever is behind me. Brain matter is likely going to get some places.

In an apartment, what would cause the most property damage if someone shot themselves next to it? If I ctb here, I'd like to at least cause some inconvenience and more importantly: FORCE them to clean the place up before renting it out to their next vixtim.

Maybe I should fire a few rounds into the ceiling first lol. Or the electrical box.

I'm sorry to hear that your living situation has gone to shit. It's worth noting that the fact that a suicide occurred at all would make your landlord's property stigmatized, and depending on the state, they may be legally required to disclose that to potential buyers, and it could tank the property value quite a bit. I'm not too creative with how you could mess up the place but destroying literally everything you physically can before you CTB would be a pretty good bet. Maybe fuck up the plumbing or something that is expensive to repair. Considering the fact that your state has shit renter laws, I'm going to wager that there's nothing you can do that will make them legally have to do any clean up so long as people are desperate enough to live there.

Not sure, but maybe @COP2CON would be a good person to ask since he's worked these sorts of cases before & has probably seen all the worst kinds of damage.

Bio matter is the single most expensive thing to deal with. For example, if blood gets on the floor the in most states the carpet has to come up and sometimes the subfloor. It just depends though, sometimes people go under the radar with just bleach and air freshener. I had one apartment that cost $75,000 to make livable again, another $50,000 though most of the time insurance covers it. Also water flooding as it creates a mold issue.
