Anyone have ways to find the carotid, without trial & error pinching the thing carrying oxygen to my brain?

I'm thinking about using an ultrasound scanner or something. Those devices are rather costly though

You should be able to spot the pulsating points if you put your face up to a mirror. But to make your pulse more apparent, you can engage into some physical activity to exhaust yourself a bit, such that your heart starts pumping more blood. I have a weak physical form, so something like 20-25 squats in a quick succession will make my carotid pulse pop into view.

You don't need a scanner.
put 2 fingers to where you can feel the pulse in your neck. That's where it is. Like the previous message says, increase your heart rate and you'll feel it.

The way I did it is by doing some exercise first to get my heart racing, then I easily found it. The interesting thing is that I didn't even need to put a lot of pressure on them afterwards.

I just slightly pressed down on both sides and in like 5 seconds I got tingling all over my head and body, my right arm started twitching, blurry vision, euphoria and since I went too long it ended with a panic attack. Basically what I'm trying to say is that you'll know when you find it, the feeling is extremely obvious.
