I don't know all that much about it, but it's been the method that seems one of the best ways to go out as far as ease and efficacy if you can find a way to order it from a legit source online. I've looked just a very little bit on the dark web and a lot of people won't sell it because of how deadly it is. I know you can still get it if you're really determined. You only need a few grains to OD and people who inject it often pass out before they've even emptied the syringe. I've looked up stories of people who survive an OD and it's all people who were found immediately. I can't find stories anywhere of people surviving any other way. You can get cheap test strips online that are usually used for people to make sure their drugs
don't contain F, but you can use them to make sure you're getting what you paid for. You can get needles and syringes from a local free needle exchange if you have one near you. I think those are pretty common now. I found a thorough guide online about injecting safely online since I've never done it myself. I can find it again if anyone is interested.
I personally wouldn't risk it, they've been training dogs at the post offices specifically to smell for fentanyl so the odds of your package getting intercepted are high. And you'd probably be ordering a substantial amount of fentanyl in order to OD, meaning you could end up with a felony charge, not fun.
Yeah it's definitely a risk, but I'm not sure it's actually that big of a risk or not. This is an excerpt from an essay from the Rand Corporation website dated Jan 13, 2020:

They often guarantee delivery, so sure are they that their small packages will slip by in cargo shipments or standard mail.
Of course, they can't bail you out of jail if you're caught, but I can't find a lot of info about people getting caught from ordering online. I can't remember my sources but I'm pretty sure I've read from more than one source it's still relatively low risk, but feel free to correct me. Also, the lethal dose for an average adult man is only 3mg, the equivalent of 2 grains of table salt. People have overdosed on it just by touching it, its so powerful.
