I went to University a very long time ago. I did not properly appreciate how amazing it is. I wish somebody had given me some advice before hand. There's all these activities and classes available. The main thing that I missed out on we're opportunities to prepare for my career. There was an undergraduate organization that would've prepared me for a career in entertainment. I was part of the organization but mainly just as a social club. Had I taken advantage of the organization as career preparation it would've changed my entire life. But I was very lonely during university and preoccupied by how much I didn't like a lot of the people there. They all seemed so focused and ambitious and I just wanted to have a good time. So I missed an opportunity. I guess I was too immature. I probably should've taken a year off. My parents were pretty checked out. If they could've offered me better advice that would've been helpful. I wish I had found a mentor to offer some guidance.

Anyway, University can be an amazing opportunity. At the very least, I wish I had read all the books assigned to me and really committed to the classes I was taking. I was always looking for shortcuts and ways to make things easier. I was only robbing myself. I hope you are able to take advantage of your university experience. And if you're feeling depressed, I'm sure they have mental health specialists available who can at least talk things through with you. I'm jealous. Hope you can make the best of it.

Agreed! I think my biggest regret was not committing myself to what I was learning, some of my early classes were unnecessary and similar to HS but there were some super interesting classes I wish I had really dived into, in retrospect.

I have gone to university for the last 5 years. It's very fun if you are good at socializing, otherwise it's a boring experience where you get to learn a lot.

My advice for what it's worth:

Have fun! Do study and make sure you come away from it having learnt and grown in your subject area, but also join clubs, show up regularly, get to know people and make friends.

I finished university a while back, and I somewhat regret how I went about it. The main upside was the amount of money I came away with, but I regret not getting to know people (maybe even being in a relationship), and not getting out of my comfort zone. I think about how much I regret it very often.

These are supposed to be the best years of life, but that's not always the case. It is true that you live different experiences, you meet more people and you become independent. There are students who do not have the resources to eat well, live in poor pensions or get very stressed.
There is everything in life

I could have gone there, because disabled people have access to public universities for free. But it's not like I have the heart to do any degree either, I don't have the necessary energy or motivation.
Now with 44 years even less.

Of course, I applied a lot of times and was accepted: In technical engineering in computer science, in Physics, in Fine Arts, in Video games, in Animation... but I always backed out at the last moment because anxiety that generated me.

I hope you go to college and enjoy it. He thinks that investing in education always returns in one way or another quite a profit over the years.

//

I would work hard to become a vet to have unrestricted access to euthanasia drugs.

The worst error of my life. I am in the STEM field. I studied all my life, took a PHD. Started a career in academia and had lot of success. Could manage my own group, travel the world and participate in the creation of new exciting technology. All this was taken from me because of a shitty tweet.

I wished I had stayed in my little, small and insignificant country side town. I had a few nice friends there which knew me since I was 5. I miss them so much. There is nothing more terrible than be successful and then turn failure, you will always remember how you were before and you will know that it will not come back in all your life.

Go back to your hometown, find a simple job, stay in touch with childhood friends. Find a nice girl that has the same objective and be happy. Maybe have a kid and teach them to be happy with small and simple things.
