  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

This is a pointless post. But I think I pressed down on them because my head felt weak. I feel kind of relaxed now, as disturbing as this is. Anyone else had that effect?

PS: fuck my miserable little existence...

You may have been putting pressure on your vagus nerve, which activates the "rest and digest" functions of the nervous system. I have a TENS unit that's been modified into a vagus nerve stimulation device, and sometimes I use it to deal with severe anxiety. It's hardly a reason to live, but vagus nerve stimulation can be a useful mood regulation tool.

Maybe? The "dizzy effect" effect means you're losing consciousness. If you feel allow yourself to feel it for too long (about 6 to 10 seconds) you'll go to sleep.
You can get that feeling by breathing lots of air very fast (hyperventilating) too. That's probably the safest way to pass out from it without actually dying.
You can also play with it if you make a "hanging set up". You tie a noose made of a shirt to a door knob somewhere, you put your head in it, and you push forward to put weight on your neck. Then when you get the feeling, you let go. My personal way of testing it is by making a noose that I hold with my hand and push behind my back to create pressure. That way if I do pass out, because my hands will let go, I should wake up without any brain damage.

If you didn't have your arteries touched/compressed then that feeling was probably something else .
It's the same feeling that everyone feels when they faint, from any reason.
If you've ever fainted in your life, then that's the feeling.

Is the Carotid artery where you can feel your pulse at the front of your neck? If the vagus nerve can relax you too, I'm going to try it.

The vagus nerve and the carotid arteries are pretty much in the same place, toward the front of your neck, on either side of your throat. The text in this image is kind of hard to read, but it does label the jugular vein (blue), the carotid artery (red), and several nerves (yellow). The vagus nerve is labeled up where this drawing's ear would be.

Oh, yeah! I feel so peaceful, airy and relaxed after cutting off my carotids. Absolutely my experience, too.
