It's been three months since me and my ex split but I've been struggling to move on during the Valentine's Day season. I made the horrid mistake of accidentally checking his profile on Instagram and noticed he changed his icon to a picture of his left hand with a ring on his finger.
Now I can't tell whether or not this is a romantic implication but just the idea of it breaks my heart knowing fully well we aren't together anymore. I don't miss him but I miss the idea of being in love with someone and sharing that emotional connection. He was physically good-looking, but abusive during our time together. It sucks waking up with nothing to do or to look forward anymore because you're lonely and sad. Now everything is quiet.
I've currently been looking into the idea of lucid dreaming so I can atleast date or marry a fictional crush of mine from a movie so I would be able to move on but it's incredibly difficult because my brain cannot tell whether or not I'm in a dream yet, it's the only thing that helps me cope during this season.
