Fed up with "prevention" messages, with crappy hotline numbers on Google, YouTube, TikTok... impossible to get around!

After YouTube, it is TikTok's turn to block access to videos as soon as the slightest word "suicide" or similar is used. NOW, there are NO "close" button to this messages!

And yet, I was looking for videos, but on suicide prevention furniture, for my research on urban planning! Just curiosity!

Gafam, the tech giants, completely forget that it is precisely by preventing people from accessing their content, by forcing them to call shitty numbers, that it will push them to CTB!

These shitty numbers are useless because, instead of listening, reassuring, they give sermons, do not accept anonymous numbers, investigate to locate the caller's whereabouts, bring in "help", to forced internment in a psychiatric hospital, or even prison, if illegal things are found (example, the N)!!!

I wish someone would develop AI to block such content in an automated way from the websites, same as adblocker...

It's the same as search engines (like Google and Bing) censoring every bit of useful information just because of the belief that "pro-life is very moral".
Unfortunately, the only 2 good engines now, DuckDuckGo and Yandex, are going to be the same censored wastelands in a few years after they become mainstream.

That's why I never search anything related to suicide outside of this site. It just isn't worth it for me to deal with annoying messages and platitudes like that. I hope that people can be more accepting towards suicidal people one day and can agree that they should have the autonomy to end their lives if they choose to. Alas, maybe such a thing will happen in a millennium in the best case scenario

It is because it is purely for show and there is no authentic care whatsoever. It is a Potemkin village of empathy to keep the machine chugging along and nothing more. We live in hell.
