Favourite People Ever

Who are your personal, favourite people of all time?

One of mine is Leonard Cohen. The poetry in his The Flame keeps me company in my final years.

Robin Williams. He was gifted and he was a gift. Only celebrity I have ever cried over losing.

the first two i can think of are playwrights who live near enough to me that i have actually met them. one who wrote my favorite play, i met him twice and he was really nice and remembered me the second time which was cool. also another local playwright who i met just once, she was really nice and her writing is good and when she saw me performing in her play, she said i seemed like i would do acting forever which was a really big compliment to me and i still think of it sometimes

I thought a lot about making a cork board filled with photos/likenesses of my favorite people, sorted in a chronological timeline from ancient Rome to currently living.
I might do that some day, but it'll have to a huge board and doing in digitally just doesn't hit the same. It currently exists losely in my head

Dora Mono Nyambe (may she rest in peace)

If you can please look up what she did with her life before she passed in December of 2024. There's also a book called "Under A Zambian Tree" on Amazon and she has a TikTok page that is still run by those she left behind that are continuing her work.

She was such a rare person taken too soon but the impact she made was huge.
