What's some of your favorite music about suicide? Can also mention songs that relate to the reasons you're going to ctb, even if the song itself isn't about suicide. Any genre.

I'll go first. Kill Yourself (Part III) By $uicideboy$ is a classic, along with all the other parts. The third is definitely my favorite, though. Ghost in the flesh by conscience is a really underrated one. I've also been listening to the new Three Days Grace album, Alienation. Lots to resonate with in it. From Mayday's chorus;

"We walk like dead people who haven't died yet,
We ride like passengers without a pilot,
We be losing our minds, but we all try to hide it,
It's hard to keep fighting when you're barely surviving."

Hideaki Anno or the people who helped create the story of Neon Genesis Evangelion were probably influenced by Mainländer, since even the title of the song is literally a phrase from one of Mainländer's poems.


The version of this song is beautiful, it accompanies the depressive feeling of the lyrics.

This is one of the most beautiful songs about suicide. It's not pro-life bullshit. I also really like Metallica's "fade to black" and $uicideboy$ kill yourself pt. 3 and Antarctica.

On the afternoon on July 26, 2006, Marques told his parents that he would be having friends over for a barbecue, and had them leave the apartment for the day since he wanted to impress a girl. However, he had made plans to commit suicide through smoke inhalation by locking himself in his bathroom with two barbecue grills, and had posted on a forum asking for help killing himself. While some people in the thread pleaded him to stop, others gave him the advice he wanted; after Marques reported he couldn't stand the heat inside the bathroom, a retired firefighter told Marques what to do to make the suicide attempt more bearable. His last post was at 3:02 pm GMT-3.

A Canadian online friend of Marques's learned of the suicide attempt and called the Porto Alegre police, giving them Marques' address. Although the police and paramedics were able to enter the apartment and clear the smoke, Marques was pronounced dead by suicide via carbon monoxide poisoning at approximately 3:30 pm, after multiple attempts at resuscitation.[3]

Marques left a CD-R with some of his music and a suicide note addressed to his parents, which cleared them from any responsibility over his death, and thanked them for their support.

Check out his other Songs, they're all amazing. His main Band is 'Red house painters' but they Split up. He still Releases music on his solo Band 'Sun kil moon' or by the Name 'Mark kozelek'.
