Extended dose vs stat dose for meto

I'm debating on which protocol to use. Is there any benefit to taking meto over a couple of days vs a stat dose? I'd personally prefer doing the latter to avoid unpleasant side effects that can be associated with meto but if the multiple doses is more effective I'd go with that.

I've tried looking into how it works and why the extended dose might be recommended but so far not finding much.
