last night i stayed up late to smoke and listen music and i think i shouldn't have done it

when i tried to sleep suddenly i wasnt able to breathe. like when you slowly go to sleep and your breathing slows down but it was instant and i got scared and panicked so it made my breathing even harder

i struggled for a couple of seconds and finally i managed to breathe

then in the morning my chest felt really heavy and there was a piercing sensation on my heart occasionally

the piercing sensation went away but occasionally my breaths stop for a couple of seconds and it feels like there is something blocking

also the heaviness on my chest stays. it feels like im wearing an iron chestplate, it's hard to move my chest and breathe

and let me tell you the feeling is so bad, i am scared

i cant imagine how asphyxiation feels 😭

It sounds terrifying. I've heard of sleep apnea- which can also cause pains in the chest. But yeah, even after exercising and struggling more for breath, I tend to wonder- will SN be like this but prolonged and worse? I got chest pains and laboured breathing with my first gallstone attack and that was really frightening. I hope you don't have a repeat of it.

did you see the guy who used SN and recorded it?
there was a long long section where he experienced agonal breathing which is terrifying
it's basically deep, long and loud breaths trying to save you
and let me tell you, when you can't breathe you try to take deep fast breaths because of the panic (i dont think he did it consciously)

so i think SN might be somewhat similar to this experience

No, I don't think I want to see videos like that to be honest. I wonder if he was conscious at that point. I suppose that's the hope really. That- even if that does happen at the end, we may not be conscious for it.

I doubt natural death is always pleasant. Even my Aunt- who died in her sleep apparently made a 'death rattle.'

I just think death is like to be shit regardless!

i suppose the only possible way of dying without pain is to blow your brain off before it can process pain

you can do it with a gun or it can occur naturally such as the submarine implosion case

it's pretty much impossible to feel pain if you do it right, i presume you wont even hear or see the action you do

I'm UK based so, less access to guns (and multimillion pound submarines.)

People have actually missed with guns. Shot off their jaw but survived. The mess left for others to deal with would trouble me too.

It's like dying is likely to be just as much of a pain in the arse as living.

Agonal breathing is one of the last steps before death. It happens when the brain is not getting enough oxygen. It may look scary to us, but someone agonal breathing is already unconscious and is very close to death.

I can also be accompanied by sounds of gargling, coughing, or snoring as the person can not clear their airway of fluids. But again, they are completely unconscious so no suffering.

Can second this. Saw the complete video of the person ( it was about 1.8 h) and he was unconscious at 20th minute itself. Also, apologies for person for watching the video and disrespecting him which was not my intent.
