Hi, I read about exit bags and while I find the Idea of a plastic bag on my face not very inviting it seem a decent way to got. What I'm not sure about is about the inert gas. Helium is easily available but I cant find any information about is purity and the necessary purity for its effectiveness on that matter. I guess a 40 L bottle with 150 bar would be sufficient but I read that most contains oxygen to prevent suffocation. Can anyone elaborate on that?

Most ballon helium is partly oxygen. You can obtain high purity helium from an industrial gas supplier.

(40*150)/15=400 minutes. Should be enough. But like @tams said none of that balloon time stuff.

Most helium that isn't even scientific grade is expensive either way and will contain oxygen without advertising so unless you buy from from an industrial company that has item specification. I would advise just going for nitrogen or argon since it's a fraction of the price and has far more use cases at 100% purity to acquire easily though I guess this depends on where you live etc.

How do you know which helium cylinder for party balloons are not suitable?
Have you ever followed successful or unsuccessful suicides with party helium?

I found a cylinder of 2 cubic meters, I would adjust it to 15 liters per minute and it would have 2 hours of flow, correct?

Party helium will NEVER work, it is always made "safe" by mixing it with oxygen. You need either 99-100% welding helium or choose a different gas.

I've already given up on that 0.25 cylinder.
I found a 2 meter industrial cylinder of nitrogen for mig welding, certified to be oxygen free.
