Hi, I need help with what I hope will work as an exit bag. I have a clear bag the size of the one suggested in Peaceful Pill that has a drawstring at the bottom because it was originally used for apples. Because of the original purpose of the bag, it has several small, round holes in it. Would anyone recommend an effective way to mend these so that nitrogen wouldn't escape? I am disabled and can't leave my apartment, and have limited funds, so I'm hoping maybe there's something I already have? Clear packing tape?

Finding the exit bag [in term of size and rigidity] was more difficult than I first thought.
They are [on Ebay] too large or too thin or both.

Whats the size you got btw? Have you checked if its airtight yet?

I will have 10 bags: 20x24in each [I have a feeling it might be too large]
medium duty [120 gauge] made of pvc
No idea how thick 120 gauge is. I will report when I have them.

Exit bag dimensions in PPeH is 35cm x 50cm x 50micron. Sauerkraut bags can be good.

mmh.. I doesn't think that this is an optimal exit bag. When you can't get another garbage bag, yes you can atempt to close the holes with tape. I would use strong tape from 3M. Normal clear packing tape isn't such a good idea imo. I think it's not strong enough an not close enough.

Are they oven bags? And has anyone else heard reports about them ripping? I wonder if that's common or not.

Fuck. I know—and I'm starting to wonder if the gas would make the tape come off after awhile.

They are not oven bags, but regular polythene clear bags.
I never use oven bags myself. When I said they rip easily - I referred to other people revies on Amazon. So you need t o test them first.
Im going for heavy duty clear polythene bags again. It just difficult to get the right size on Ebay [I dont have account on Amazon] Shops in my area sell black 200 gauge only. I dont want black bag on my head in my last minutes on earth.

When you say "again," would you be able to share what your other attempt was like using this method?

When I was 16 I stole some toxic chemicals from my school laboratory and I mixed it with diazepam I found in my house.
Instead of dying I finished with severe kidneys and liver damage. It was mid 80s and I knew nothing about my chances from overdosing on this stuff.
The first thing I remember I was at the hospital. About two months later I was back at home...

I have my 200gauge [50micron] bags now - and I can confirm they seem good for the purpose. Once I have my flow meter I will conduct some tests to see how airtight they are.

Fuck. That actually makes me really sad to think of a teenager doing that, and to think that you don't feel any better now. I'm sorry.

Oh, good. I've got to get tape now. I did snag some oven bags when I was out running errands the other day with my father. I haven't really looked at them too much bc I can't think of a way to not have a nitrogen tank draw attention in my apt. complex yet.
