I know that nitrogen gas is the most recommended, but I personally ran into issues acquiring nitrogen in my area because I don't have a truck to transport it. But I was able to get 100% argon gas delivered to my front door (in the US). Just wanted to put that information out there in case anyone else was running into similar issues.

The reason I bought Nitrogen instead of Argon was because argon is heavier. So logically it would more easily sink "out of the bag".
And in case of failure. Argon is said to stay in the lungs because it is much heavier. I read that one has to stand upside down to get argon out of the lungs.
It is apparently not possible to breathe all the argon out in case of aborting the attempt
Although I don't know these things for sure. Just what I think

That sounds nonsensical, since argon is slightly lighter than carbon dioxide (molar mass of argon is 40 g/mol, molar mass of carbon dioxide is 44 g/mol) which you normally expell. Unlike fluids, heavy gases can be easily evacuated out of the lungs without flipping the body. Even such heavy gases as sulfur hexafluoride (SF6, 146 g/mol) and perfluorobutane (C4F10, 238 g/mol) can be nearly completely removed from the lungs just by intense breathing.

You have a point about the upside down thing. But still I was never sure about the bag issue. I have an oxygen meter now.
So I could have measured it. Measured nitrogen and works out well
