I f##ked up 2 of my exams already, and I have 2 more to go. There's no way I'll get a good score on those either. I'll be infinitely grateful if I can just pass, but even that seems unlikely. My father has ridiculously high expectations and insists that I have to do better. I can't believe I'm still haunted by this in college. I feel like I'm not living my own life, but a life my family would like me to live. On top of that, the future seems dark as f##k. These exasperating days are probably going to be the best days of my life, I don't even want to imagine what my future might look like.

Try not to think about him while your taking the exam. Then get away from him when you are able to.

Legit uni is a full-on rat race where the fun seems to never end! I stg because of COVID-19 and everyone being cooped up inside their homes, most professors cranked up workload to the maximum. I have no time for anything else other than dealing with the constant barrage of assignments, quizzes, and labs. These profs just churn out so much work that they don't even review their own shit anymore lol; some of my exams had plenty of mistakes and grammar errors, and I was often penalized for not understanding their bs. My GPA is still pr impressive, but even then I don't think any of this shit matters at all. I can't imagine having to deal with parents who are constantly trying to berate you and make you feel terrible. Best thing to do is straight up ignore him and don't let him get to you, because his negative influence might hinder your ability to study and do well in exams.

I remember my parents being extremely demanding with my exams at college!
I told them to go f*ck themselves and when they did, I started getting only As and got my degree.

The less pressure, the better but we gotta talk!

As for the anxiety, I know, it sucks but you can always supress it with tranquilizers, alcohol, sleeping pills or maybe just going for a walk and having some fresh air.

Why is it that all ECE/EE circuit courses are so crazy difficult with low averages? I'm in CS as well but I'm not doing any EE b/c I would rather just stick to software lol.

Well said, I could not have explained it in any better way. It's difficult to schematize all these abstractions let alone integrate numerical logic/thinking. I would imagine that the knowledge base is almost purely hierarchical, and a strong foundation for the fundamental concepts must be rigorously exercised to obtain perhaps a modicum of understanding. One advantage I do find about STEM fields over the social sciences is that most problems are quantified and therefore somewhat understandable, whereas the latter is more nuanced and vague.

Agreed, at least as long as you know what you're doing you're certain to find solutions, though getting to know what you're doing is a real pain. I just finished the exam, hopefully i will be able to pass, all that insane studying better pay off. I deleted some of the previous messages btw because i felt like i gave away too much personal information, sorry about that

Oh cool cool, I hope you pass the exam my friend! And if the worst were to happen, I hope there's a curve. No worries about deleting your messages, although I wish I could edit your replies out damnit.
