Even on a suicide forum, there is insensitive pro lifers

This is just something that I had to say. No one needs to read this. Sometimes I like to post my feelings and thoughts on a particular topic and even know I tried to ignore it, it was hurtful for a pro lifer to make false claims and tell me that my views are wrong. We all feel differently and see things differently but it is cruel to hurt suicidal people that are already suffering enough. I do not know why a pro lifer would come on here in the first place. I just wanted to post about this as pro life/anti choice content bothers me a lot and I do everything to try and avoid it. I personally find death to be comforting and it is the end to my suffering. Life is meaningless to me and if other people do not agree they should just stay away and let others talk about their suffering. Because of this, the forum does not feel so much like a safe space anymore to share feelings, but it is fine, I will soon forget about this. This was just one incident. We live in a society that does not respect our right to die and expects us to suffer for decades. The last thing suicidal people need is to be made to feel worse. However, the way I see it, only my own views matter after all. My life experience is completely different to others anyway. From now on, I will learn not to let words bother me.

You shouldn't let it bother you you're right.

I don't believe that life is meaningless and I disagree but I still am going to kill myself. I don't see that as a contradiction at all.

I think pro- lifers should be rebranded pro-suffering because most of their points are oversimplifications, generic quotes and unrealistic expectations that won't apply to many people.

Also another thing I don't like about pro lifers is the fact they also have not a single idea what an individual is going through in the slightest but feel like they're a so called expert

Unfortunately, it isn't uncommon to bump into uncaring people. Earlier today someone commented that morbidly obese people deserved to die and they called me a moron. It isn't nice, but it comes with the territory if you want to have freedom of speech.

For what it's worth, I think you have settled on the right decision to try and not let other people's words have power over you. Either ignore them, or give as good as you get!

I'm terribly sorry about that pro-lifer harassing you. I really appreciate how compassionate, honest, straightforward, and understanding your posts are. Although I do experience some pleasures in my life, I share similar sentiments about existence being pointless, needless, meaningless, full of countless forms of suffering, and how, in the grand scheme of things, none of the greatest pleasures can override or compensate for life's miseries, or being born and kept alive against my will.
