The term "escapeless trauma" refers to traumatic experiences where individuals lack the ability or opportunity to escape the traumatic situation or its consequences, often leading to severe and prolonged psychological effects. This can include situations like chronic abuse, captivity, or enduring long-term trauma exposure.
Opinion: In an ethical world of free choice and human autonomy, everyone should have an option of a safe and painless exit. Human beings never chose to exist; we were born here against our will and here to explore the world. Life can be a pleasurable experience to many, while for others it is pure torturous hell. Life can be a nasty bully to some while showing a friendly face to the rest of the world. Having no option of escape, and being trapped in a body that only becomes a vessel of pain, to keep us stuck to endure more suffering, is called escapeless trauma.
