I've bookmarked a hood, though it comes with an oxygen tank. What should I be aware of and keep in mind when trying to empty the tank in order to recycle it? I'd have at my disposal a adjustable wrench and an argon regulator.

Just connect the regulator to the tank and open the valve and regulator. If you do it in an open space you could just about smoke next to it. They aren't going to fill an oxygen bottle with argon. Get a small cylinder of argon. I hope I didn't misunderstand your meaning. I worked in construction before my spinal cord injury.

Thanks for replying. I'm going to order a nitrogen tank separately. As my situation is a bit complicated, I'll have to dispose of the oxygen tank prior to CTB. Given that it's going to be an argon regulator, it's going to take longer or be faster with an oxygen tank, right?
Actually, I looked at the photos of the oxygen tank again and it seems it already comes with some sort of a built in valve. One only needs to attach the hood hose and it'll work which means I don't need any regulator to empty the tank. Just need to turn on the valve.
