  • Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

Congrats. It takes me months to get to a place where I can clean and do laundry.

Baby steps......

Hi, I am not far off that place myself. It's so frustrating it pisses me off. How do you cope with the being unable part?

It's chilly today too, which just makes it so tempting to go back to bed. But at least I've managed to do these tasks.

Have you guys had any recent small victories?
Small things count. Small things are doable, and repeatable...

I did some exercise today in my room today (press-ups, knee bends etc). Even though this is not much, if I keep having these small 'victories' it all adds up. So tommorrow Ill do some more... and maybe Ill go for a walk etc....Note: I haven't done any exercise all year and I have got a short 'buzz' out of achieving something, its taking my mind off depression temporarily .

I try and accept that it's part of my flaw. I have tried to analyze why it is that it takes me so long to be able to get started with some of these things, and I suspect in part it has something to do with addiction to compulsive worry. Perhaps worrying about cleaning, laundry, etc., helps distracts my mind from bigger issues.

I have little things that I put off indefinitely because they intimidate me, then grow to epic proportions in my mind and i can't face them easily.

Okay thank you. My delays are due to physical exhaustion. My buddy helps when he's home (which will be more, now there's another lockdown). Although he's exhausted as well so we procrastinate until one of us is able to shift their tired arse.

Continuing my old thread. Today I've emptied the dishwasher and opened the curtains in my room.

Every victory is a step forward. No matter how big or small it seems to you at the time, it will all help.

Something that helps me with small victories is to write down the little things I do in a day.

Making lists always depressed me, especially when I didn't get everything done.

So I started writing everything I did, as descriptive as possible. Instead of "laundry" it could be washed blankets/work clothes, etc. If you fold them write that down too. I even wrote if I had a snack since I struggle to eat enough.

Hopefully this will help someone. If I get the motivation to clean I also will set a stop watch with a goal of 15 min, and can easily make it to 45 min without looking.

Good advice for anyone here who needs it. Thank you
