• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Every once in a while an elephant will break the leg chain and go on a wild killing spree. They know what will happen the captivity just isn't worth it.

I love elephants

What we have done to them is horrific, they are incredibly sensitive majestic beasts.

When Elephants Weep by Jeffrey Masson is a book I'd recommend if you want to learn more about the emotional lives of animals.

Unlike other wild demons, elephants don't rip and vore innocent organisms.

Am I crazy if I compare predators with demons?

Most animals have a bad time handling stress and fear. Not surprisingly, they share with us different behavioral traits.

That reminds me of Rat Park and similar experiments that tested rats susceptibility to mind-altering drug addiction in two different environments: a small boring cage and a much larger enclosure with various pieces of equipment for the rats to interact with.

Unsurprisingly the results showed that while there were also other factors at play, the environment played a very significant role in determining rats preference for drugs.

Given the similarities that mammals share this would suggest that environment also plays a significant role for other mammals as well, mammals such as... humans.
