Do the research but dont make a snap decision (excuse the pun) and fuck it up and make an already bad situation way worse... I am here to get it right first time when I'm ready! There is no easy way... but there are pretty decent methods if you research but just don't let your current emotions force you into rushing a botch job you will regret and at best limit your options later or at worst leave you unable of a second attempt ever again!

I don't think anybody here can make that decision for you. If you want to inform yourself about your options, you can look through the suicide resource compilation and check out all the links and megathreads that are compiled in that thread, including the PPH. It contains a lot of useful information regarding peaceful methods. I know it's overhelming to go through so much information, especially when you're in a lot pain and desperate for a peaceful way out but it's important to educate yourself on that matter. Nobody here knows what's best for you because we don't know what you need, only you know that and you shouldn't make crucial decisions based on someone's suggestion here. And it's easier to make an informed and autonomous decision about your welfare if you know all the available options that are out there - including recovery options. If you still have specific questions about methods after evaluating the information available on this forum, feel free to create another thread or use one of the many megathreads to get some answers. We're here to help each other if someone has questions, you're not alone in your suffering but it's important that you do the most basic research yourself because we're talking about a very serious decision with final consequences and as I said, nobody here really knows what's best for you. You're the only person that knows what you need, that includes how you want to leave. I hope that helps and I hope you'll find what you're looking for.

Read the Lost All Hope website. It is rather off putting as it talks a lot about failure rates - but it is really important to know which methods often fail and what the consequences of failure are. The methods on this site - some of them - have a lower risk of failure or long term impact if you fail. So if you read the methods here too...
just had a look on that website and cyanide is high up in effective ness and low suffering
but i haven't seen it discussed much here?
maybe i'm not looking properly though :)

This has always been suspect to me. "Household toxins" is too wide a label, and there are some that will absolutely cause more pain than 54.5. Actually, most will probably cause an incredible amount of pain.
I've also heard that cyanide is incredibly painful? I have no research to back it up, but I was under the impression that it was higher on the agony scale than this lists.
Also, pain tolerance varies from person to person, and by type of pain. I literally just saw an image taken by someone who'd attempted to CTB in a manner that left bone exposed. And they were conscious enough to take that picture immediately afterwards. I know if I'd caused that much damage to myself, I'd be passed tf out.
My preferred methods are my preferred methods because they're sorts of pain that I have experience with and know I can handle easier than others.
Basically: I'd take some of this with a grain of salt. ESPECIALLY household toxins.
