Hi all,
I got a text message this week from DWP inviting me (more like ordering me) to a review interview on Monday.
Money is very tight and I'm absolutely crapping myself that they're going to cut my money.
If that happens I won't be able to afford my rent.
Does anyone know what this is likely to be about? It's not a jobsearch thing as I don't receive jobseekers allowance.

i used to work for DWP 10 Year's ago. If things havnt changed, people were invited in just to make sure the claimant was still around amongst other things. Also updates if you need help. Not sure they can cut money without good cause, If you've been following the rules. I presume you are on ESA. Or U niversal credit. Any problems, think Citizens Advice or other advisory organisations that offer free advice.

Many thanks for your reply.
As far as benefits go I know it sounds silly but I actually don't know what benefits I receive. My support worker sorted it all out a couple of years ago when I was about to be made homeless. Unfortunately, I no longer have a support worker or indeed anyone at all to speak to.
Now that benefits are all lumped under Universal Credit I find it hard to understand it all.
Oh well I'll find out Monday I guess, hopefully it'll just be a welfare type of thing. At least I managed to persuade them to do it by phone rather than in person.

If due formal review normally recieve review form. If doubting, can call Citizens Advice Bureau for further advice prior to DWP call.

Interesting. I haven't received any forms so maybe it's just a routine check.
I'm going to try to put it to the back of mind for now.

I receive occupation pension as i am 55, no benefits other than pension. I hope it goes well for you in appointment. Chances are you might come out of your meeting with less stress. Good luck.

Well just finished my "review". I was worrying about nothing. Just a few questions confirming my current position. I wish these people would realise the unnecessary stress this kind of thing causes to vulnerable people.
