I ask because severe mental illness is an acceptable reason for assisted suicide in NL and BE.

If you went through the entire treatment proces for your medical illnesses (which is e.g. for depression you had regulair therapy, electroconvulsion therapy, light therapy, cognitive behavior therapy and tried several antidepressants) and doctors/shrinks are then convinced there is no suitable way of treating your mental illnesses, they might conclude your suffering is unbearable and then you might be eligible for euthanasia.
The treatment period is very exhaustive and could takes years.

Tomorrow i have mine last interview with a scen doctor who will Check if all protocols have been honored and met. After this and my requests for euthanasia have been honored i have to die within 4 weeks. So before the end of March

I hope things work out well for you whatever happens. I followed a girl from Holland on instagram who had assisted suicide, and it did sound like a very long process. Though it also seemed very nice - like she didn't have to hide it from people or hide how she felt, and could openly do things to say goodbye and make the last weeks/days as enjoyable as possible without making it secret. I think she may have had chronic pain, but most of her suffering was from mental illness.
I got approved by the team and the external psychiatrist. So its green for me only have to get permission on the correctly performed protocol

No because i already had a date set for euthanasia it was 7 of April. But request to go more early in march. Thats the planning now
Is there any reason you didnt take the chance to just order N from A? How long have you been going through the process? Do you think you'll postpone the date like the girl Emily from the euthanasia documentary they a few years back?

I have attempted with N of A but failed because i only had domperidon. And domperidon did not turn of the receptors. Had ordered back in 2018.
Everything about the process is in the 3 parts i have wrote. But applied in 2818 and started in 2019 November with actual procedures and interviews.
No i wont postpone anything because after tomorrow my last interview is finished. The rule is i have to die within 4 weeks if you don't then its all of and they will cancel your euthanasia.
Consider doing the regression session. You can get an appointment time in next few weeks before euthanasia. In the regression, they record you and you can ask questions about your life, your journey and the after life.
I looked and they have some practitioners in Holland. I may do one next month.

i live in NL, my current diagnoses is psychotic depression, might be manic depression. My psychiatrist refuses to work towards euthenasia what should i do? Should i even bother going this route?
All depends on age and time spend on therapy. And the overall picture of life, are you still able to work how is your social life etc.
If you just started with therapy then you have to a long way. But whe you done everything like me then its more likely you will get approved.

I've been in therapy for yeaaars at least 4. I'm 28 unable to work have no social life. I'm crippled by depression. Does that increase my chances? How do i get this process started?

Was the misspelling of euthanasia intentional or unintentional?
I always wished my country had this in place(they're currently having talks now about legalizing human euthanasia). For me it seems like since it's The Government, there would be many hoops to jump through and possibly it would cost 50k or something ridiculous. It's kind of a pain and anxiety provoking acquiring the ingredients you would need for a peaceful exit without The Government helping, but I still think it is less of a headache than trying to convince The Government I have a good reason to kill myself.
They need to make this simple like they do with other things. Are you a legal adult? Are you aware of your mental/physical status? Do you want to die? A)Yes B)No How long have you wanted to die?(set threshold at some arbitrary number)
It should be streamlined if they want to stop all the botched suicides and 'illegal' methods that may traumatize bystanders or people who haven't signed up to handle dealing with corpses as their profession.

they will probably give you medication and more therapy first.
you can ask or apply for the proces, but 50 % gets rejected/.
es example, I got complex ptsd , because of trauma paranoid disorder and also some degree of borderline and A cluster things and some anti social things.
next to that i got derealization psychosis becuase of trauma so yes its really stopping my life by going forward, stuck in time and stuck in life.
depressed 9 months out of a year also on top of that.
Did all therapy's several clinic with total time span of 7 month closed inside, and total of 7 years therapy .
does it matter ? was a misspelling

Interesting, thank you for your input. So it really is that hard not even worth pursuing i guess, especially not for me. My total years of therapy might be more to be honest i was traumatized from a young age but still. Chances are small. I hope some of us will get progress in this regard and report it back to here. I'm pursuing the nitrogen scuba gear method myself but if i had a choice i would like to have nembutal... Oh well... Silly world we live in.
